Wild School's Adventure Camp is the Gateway for Young Explorers

Wild School's Adventure Camp is the gateway for young explorers to immerse themselves in nature, fostering a love for the outdoors while developing self confidence.

Beyond a typical day camp, we cultivate skills, forge lasting friendships, and inspire leadership in every camper.

Join us for a journey where curiosity knows no bounds, and exploration is the compass through an extraordinary wilderness experience.

Let the adventure begin!

Wild Camp blends Fun with Learning, Challenge and Growth

We want our students to learn, to explore, to experience new things and push themselves beyond their comfort levels in a safe environment led by expert OE’s (Outdoor Educators).

This is a demanding program at times. We believe strongly that this is how you develop confidence and resilience, as well as a love for the natural world and adventure.

We operate in the rain, in the heat, and in buggy forests.

We go for long hikes and bike rides that can be quite exhausting, we portage over beaver dams through swamps and mud, and we paddle up rivers.

We also sing, play games and learn how to persevere.

Some of the activities we'll do this summer are:

  • teach you how to navigate in the forest and on rivers
  • build fires
  • make shelter
  • track animals
  • learn about wilderness medicine, animals, trees and plants and all the while having a ton of fun!

This summer we want you to get in touch with your inner wildness! At Wild School we like to travel, explore and learn. We cover a lot of ground to take you to some really cool places. Sometimes it’s hard work, but that only makes getting to the destination that much better.

We hope you will bring a sense of adventure and openness to learn and try new things and meet new people. We’re so excited to meet you and have a very excellent adventure!

Challenging & Fun!

Experience a Sense of Accomplishment

Completing this program is meant to be challenging. If it is your child's first time, you should frame this before they arrive – they will complete each day with a sense of accomplishment.

Kids Love Our Program

The vast majority of kids absolutely love our program!  And, to put it bluntly, the ones that don't are the ones that stand to benefit from it the most. By the end of the week they'll be amazed at what they've achieved.

bridging the gap

Wild Camp as an Extension of Wild School

Wild Camp is a valuable addition to Wild School, addressing the issue of learning regression during longer summer breaks. In September, we witness firsthand the impact of this regression. Wild Camp not only helps bridge this gap, but also offers a wide range of activities not possible during the school year.

Our camp focuses on fun while ensuring learning new skills and providing opportunities to apply them in a safe and engaging environment.

Playing with these skills not only aids retention, but also fosters lasting friendships.

wild camp helps us grow in more ways than one

Supporting Wild Camp means supporting Wild School

A significant part of our revenue comes from the summer months. This money is reinvested into infrastructure development, such as new yurt classrooms, computers, a new soccer field, and many other aspects of the long list of dreams that we have for our school. By enrolling your child in Wild Camp, you're directly contributing to the enhancement of your school.

Familiarity breeds Confidence & Inspires Growth

Your children are already comfortable with our property, which provides a fantastic platform to try new skills and challenge themselves further. This connection to place fosters a sense of belonging, personal growth and confidence.

Experience our Property at its Zenith

In the summer, our property is truly at its best: the pump track is dry, forests and meadows are in bloom, and rivers and creeks are warm. This also allows us to enjoy activities that are not possible in the Spring and Fall, such as paddling in Georgian Bay.
